August 8, 1998 IN VICTORY LANE AT GREENWOOD VALLEY By Than Mitchell

David Utt, Bloomsburg, in one of the very fast King Chassis, was the Micro Sprint Feature winner on Saturday night at the Greenwood Valley Action Track near Millville. Utt battled dust, heat, and heavy traffic to fly across the finish line ahead of Wyoming's Joe Bednarski, one of the Action Track's hardest chargers and consistent top finisher. Third was Blaine Heimbach, Selinsgrove, who moved into the Regular Micros only a couple of weeks ago. Fourth was Skeetz Hockenbroch, Paxinos; Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove; Brent Boyer, Bloomsburg; A.J. Walters, Bloomsburg; Chris Smith, Shane Mading and finally, in the top ten, Brian Scandle, Harveys Lake.

In the Rookie Micro Feature, Neil Petock in his #19, was first across the line. Already, Petock, a native of Bloomsburg, has notched two wins in just a few weeks since returning to open wheel racing after a summer of racing cars with doors. Second to Petock was Ralph Utter, Jr., New Jersey, followed by Mike Kepner, Bechtelsville; Jake Park, Rome; Eric Heydenreich, Bloomsburg; Terry Peters, Tower City; Chad Thomas, New Berlin; Brayden Winters, Easton; Geoff Hogan, Plymouth and Scott Lawrence, Conklin, N.Y.

To correct an error made last week's Results, it was the #88H car of Geoff Hogan from Plymouth who finished sixth in the Rookie Micro Sprint Feature. We apologize for the mistake. In additon, the Outlaw Mini Sprints will not part of the racing action August 29.

Join us next Saturday night at the Greenwood Valley Action Track for more fine go-kart and micro-sprint action on the 1/5 mile clay oval located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville just off route 254.
