DOLLANSKY CLAIMS ANOTHER WOO WIN FOR J&J

McKENZIE, TN -- Craig Dollanksy joined the ranks of World of Outlaws feature winners driving a J&J on Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway in Bakersfield, CA. The event was the first time the Outlaws had been to Bakersfield in ten years and ironically, it was Dollansky's tenth start in his VMAC #7 J&J. The victory gave J&J two "A" wins in the series' first four "A" events. Donny Schatz took the season-opening "A" feature in Australia racing his #15 ParkerStore J&J to victory in the Outlaws Down Under II finale in January.

The victory continued Dollanksy's recent consistency in all four WoO events on US soil. The VMAC team has finished third, second, sixth and first in WoO action. He got a head start with his 2005 J&J racing at East Bay and Volusia Raceway Park prior to the WoO races at Volusia on February 11 and 13. During his first ten events in a J&J this year, the Elk River, MN native has posted eight finishes of sixth or better including a victory, three seconds and a pair of third place finishes.

"We've been communicating real well and it's making a big difference in this race team," said Dollanksy after the win. "We switched to J&J Chassis and that's working real well for us. There definitely was traffic everywhere (in Saturday's feature), but the way this car was operating we were able to maneuver it."

In Saturday's 35-lap feature at Bakersfield, Dollanksy held third early aboard his #7 J&J in the event before stalking race leader Joey Saldana from laps 17 through 22. He began his move for the lead on lap 22 and two laps later he was in command. Dollansky kept the lead for the remaining ten laps to score the win. The victory leaves Dollansky only eight points behind series leader Steve Kinser in the overall standings.

"This is the best start we've ever had," Dollansky said. "I'd say this is the best I've felt going into a season, we're going into it strong. We just have to work hard at it and do our job every night. There's a lot of good competition out here. It's hard to win races. We'll just try to work at it every night to see what we can do in the points chase."

OTHER STRONG J&J PERFORMANCES:

Donny Schatz scored a second place finish in Friday's World of Outlaws Sprint Series "A" Feature at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA. Schatz was fast early in the evening as he set quick time in his #15 ParkerStore J&J. He raced to fourth in his heat race and came home second in the dash event before ultimately finishing second in the 35-lap "A" feature race.
