King Of Indiana To Wear New Crown

April 17, 2007 --- When the 2007 King of Indiana Sprint Series (KISS) takes the final checkered flag at Tri-State Speedway on July 8, the point winner will be crowned with a unique award, the custom-designed KISS Champion's Helmet. Through the efforts of Sprint Car & Midget Magazine, Simpson Performance Products and RockStar Paint, the helmet isn't intended to gather dust on a royal shelf, but will become highly visible every-race wear for the 2007 series champion.

Sprint Car & Midget Magazine and Simpson Performance Products are teaming to provide the helmet, which will be top-of-the-line in safety and comfort. RockStar Paint's Michael Jones is creating the special King of Indiana Sprint Series Champion design in his Spirit Lake, Iowa, studio. The details of the helmet and artwork will be available on the KISS website (www.kissracing.com) in the near future.

The start of this year's KISS series is less than a month away as Gas City I-69 Speedway gets the first of two KISS Weekends underway on Friday, May 11. Then the racers head south, to North Vernon's Twin Cities Raceway the next night, Saturday, May 12. Two weeks later, Lawrenceburg Speedway rumbles on Saturday, May 26. The action stays hot as the second KISS Weekend begins at Bloomington Speedway on Friday, June 15. With barely enough time to roll through a car wash, the KISS racers push off at Putnamville's Lincoln Park Speedway on Saturday, June 16. Then, to round out the weekend, Kokomo Speedway hosts a huge Sunday show on June 17. Paragon Speedway keeps the wheels rolling a week later, on Saturday, June 23, followed by the Independence Day celebration with KISS racers in the spotlight at the Terre Haute Action Track on Saturday, June 30. The grand finale, crowning the 2007 King of Indiana Sprints Series, takes place at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt on Sunday, July 8.
