KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 22, 2003) - The August 10th Brodix Tournament of Champions is living up to its name as more point leaders from this country's top winged 360-cubic-inch sprint car sanctioning bodies have entered the $4,000-to-win invitational. Rick Ideus of the Eagle Sprint Touring Series (ESTS) and Kevin Ramey of the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Sooner Region are the latest two drivers to do so. Ideus and Ramey join previously entered point leaders Darren Stewart of ASCS, Jesse Giannetto of Knoxville Raceway, Roger Crockett of Northern Sprint Tour (NST), Dustin Daggett of Sprints On Dirt (SOD), Eric Schrock of Winged Outlaw Warriors (WOW), Mason Hill of Montana Sprint Tour (MST) and Roger Rager of the WISSOTA Promoters Association.

In addition, entries have recently been received from Ryan Jamison of Sprint Invaders Association (SIA), Brian Harvill of ASCS Sooner Region, Jerrod Hull of SIA, Bobby Hawks of WOW, Natalie Sather of WISSOTA, Brett Golik of Knoxville, Cody Branchcomb of ASCS, and Josh Ostermiller of MST. Other entrants include Steve Breazeale of Knoxville, John Schulz of SIA, Doug Wilson of Knoxville, Matt Rogerson of SIA, Eric Jobe of WOW, Donnie Steward of SIA, Terry Hinck of WOW, Brett Mather of Knoxville, Ken Klabunde of ESTS, Rusty Potter of WOW, Mike Houseman of Knoxville, Curtis Boyer of WOW, Matt Sutton of SIA, Lanny Carpenter of WOW, Tony Crank of WOW, and Randy Martin of WOW.

According to coordinator Tom Schmeh, "The fifth Brodix Tournament of Champions is truly exceeding our expectations. With over 70 entries to date, and the fact that we know of at least four more point leaders that will enter, it is shaping up to be the 'show of shows' in 360 racing this year. It will also be interesting to see which sanction will earn the tournament team title, based on points earned by its drivers in the Sunday night finale. Knoxville, ASCS, and the United Racing Club have all previously worn this crown, as has the National Racing Alliance, which has declined to participate this year."

This year, an expected 72 competitors from fifteen sanctions will converge on the historic half-mile oval, all competing under one common set of rules utilizing the Brodix ASCS spec head. To date, 71 racers from nineteen states have entered. Drivers must enter the Brodix ToC and have competed in a minimum of sixty-percent of their sanction's events by August 1st in order to even be eligible to compete. A maximum of ten invitations will then be issued from each affiliate's point standings, in order, from the point leader on down. The fifteen participating sanctions are: American Outlaw Action Series (AOAS), American Sprint Car Series (ASCS), ASCS-Gulf South, ASCS-Rocky Mountain, ASCS-Sooner, Empire Super Sprints (ESS), Eagle Sprint Touring Series (ESTS), Knoxville Raceway (KNOX), Montana Sprint Tour (MST), Northern Sprint Tour (NST), Sprint Invaders Association (SIA), Sprints On Dirt (SOD), United Racing Club (URC), WISSOTA Promoters Association (WISSOTA), and Winged Outlaw Warriors (WOW).
