(SEPTEMBER 7, 2003) Perris Auto Speedway will bring the curtain down on the 2003 season this Saturday when Temecula Valley Pipe and Supply and Vista Paint present the annual Jack Kindoll Classic featuring the Napa Auto Parts/Auto Trader Magazines SCRA Sprint Cars. Saturday's show and the season will be capped by a 50-lap main event.

The Kindoll Classic began in 1997 at The PAS. Yorba Linda's Rip Williams, who raced against Jack Kindoll owned cars for years with CRA, won the initial staging of the event. New Mexico's Richard "The Gasman" Griffin, who is set to put the finishing touches on his fifth (making it five out of the last years) SCRA crown on Saturday, took top honors in 1999. Steve Ostling, of Corona, is the defending Champion in the event.

The driver many are picking as favorite on Saturday is Ventura's Cory Kruseman. The thirty-three old scored the biggest win of his career at The PAS on Sunday night when he outdistanced the field in the Tony Stewart Motorsports owned sprint car to win the 8th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals. The victory was worth more than $30,000.00 for the likable Kruseman.

Coning off the big win last week is not the only reason Kruseman, the 2001 SCRA Champion, is the favorite of many. He won the Kindoll Classic three times (1998, 2000 and 2001). This Saturday Kruseman will be steering a car for Carson's Mark Alexander. It is the same car that he drove to victory at The PAS on September 4th when he traded the lead back and forth with Williams over the final lap in one of the best ever main events at The PAS.

Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM on Saturday.

Don't forget that at intermission the entire family can dance in The PAS Dance Contest with prizes for the winning dancers ages 12 and under.

Perris Auto Speedway is the world's premiere clay oval stadium. The fan friendly track features an amazing 60,000-watt digital sound system, daytime bright lighting, a wide variety of delicious food, clean restrooms and paved spectator parking. Best of all, the track supplies clean, wholesome family entertainment every Saturday night.

Advance tickets are on sale now by calling 1-800-595-4849 or on the Internet at www.tix.com or www.perrisautospeedway.com.

Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds, home of the Southern California Fair, approximately one hour east of Los Angeles. Take the 215 Freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go east two and a half miles to the fairgrounds.
