50-LAP JACK KINDOLL CLASS AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY!

(LAKE PERRIS, CA - November 12) Perris Auto Speedway will bring down the curtain on the 2002 season this Saturday night when Vista Paint presents the NAPA Auto Parts/Auto Trader Magazines SCRA Sprint Cars in the Annual Jack Kindoll Classic. Saturday's program will be highlighted by a 50-Lap A Main event.

Silver City, New Mexico's Richard "The Gasman" Griffin, who won his fourth SCRA Championship in 2002 and who last week sewed up his third consecutive Non Wing World Championship, will be looking for his first win in the Kindoll since 1999. The recently turned 39-year old star also brought car owner Ron Chaffin his seventh SCRA title in the past eight years with this season's triumph.

Griffin's chief combatant on Saturday will be Ventura's Cory Kruseman. Fresh off his first ever NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race (started 31st, moved into the top 20, but lost an engine on lap 109 and finished 32nd) at Phoenix last Friday, the 2001 SCRA Champion has won three of the last four Kindoll's Classic's including the last two in a row.

The other former winner of the race, which was inaugurated in 1997 to honor Kindoll, a longtime racer, car owner and innovator, is Yorba Linda's Rip Williams. The all time leader in main event wins at The PAS and with SCRA, the popular 46 year old won the first Kindoll Classic. Saturday's race will close out William's 25th year behind the wheel of a Sprint Car. He was the 1978 CRA CO-Rookie of the Year with Ric Paronelli.

Other top challengers for Saturday's 50-Lapper include Mike Kirby of Torrance, Steve Ostling of Corona, Hesperia's John Scott, ex-Oval Nationals Champions Rickie Gaunt (Torrance), Tony Jones (Garden Grove) & Rodney Argo (Gardena), Norwalk's Mike English and the only man to qualify a Non Wing Sprint Car in under 16 seconds at The PAS, Concord's Damion Gardner.

Spectator gates will open at 4:00 PM on Saturday.

Don't forget that at intermission the entire family can dance in The PAS Dance Contest with prizes for the winning dancers ages 12 and under.

Perris Auto Speedway is the world's premiere clay oval stadium. The fan friendly track features an amazing 60,000-watt digital sound system, daytime bright lighting, a wide variety of delicious food, clean restrooms and paved spectator parking. Best of all, the track supplies clean, wholesome family entertainment every Saturday night.

Advance tickets for Saturday's race are on sale now by calling 1-800-595-4TIX (4849) or by going to the PAS website at www.perrisautospeedway.com and clicking on the online tickets icon.

Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds approximately one hour east of Los Angeles. Take the 215 Freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go east two and a half miles to the fairgrounds.
