Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Cars Weekend Guide

TULSA, Okla. (May 26, 2010) -- The Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Cars presented by K&N Filters title contenders are chomping at the bit, ready to get back into action.

After all, it's been nearly seven weeks since Zach Chappell topped a non-stop Lucas Oil Sprint Car 35-lapper at Little Rock's I-30 Speedway just to remind everybody of his $60,000 title intentions. But, with Riverside's Rock 'N Roll 50 originally scheduled for April 23-24 pushed back to October by rain, most of the series contenders have been picking and choosing their spots to stay sharp for the events that count.

Now, it's that time. And a golf scramble, ASCS driver meet and greet, parade and more accompany two full nights of the Second Annual Boot Hill Casino Steve King Memorial at the Jetmore Motorplex in Jetmore, KS, on Saturday and Sunday night.

Weekend Weather:
Highs in the low to mid 80's and lows around 60-ish with minimal chance of precipitation set up an ideal weekend of Lucas Oil ASCS National action atop the semi-banked, 3/8-mile Jetmore Motorplex dirt oval.

Track Facts:

Jetmore Motorplex -- Jetmore, KS (Saturday and Sunday Night, May 29-30)

Race Time: 7:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday

Track Delicacy: Unknown, but how could there be a bad burger in southwest Kansas?

Last Lucas Oil ASCS Event at Lone Star Speedway: May 24, 2009

Past Lucas Oil ASCS Winners at the Jetmore Motorplex: Zach Chappell 1, Tim Crawley 1, Jack Dover 1, Travis Rilat 1.

Weekend passes are available for just $35, a savings of $10, if purchased in advance on-line at www.tbjpromotions.com. Tickets purchased at the track are $20 on Saturday and $25 on Sunday. Kids age 6-12 are just $5 on both Saturday and Sunday, with kids under 5 free.

While Sammy Swindell has piloted the Rolfe/Benjamin No. 10 entry in the opening three events of the season, it is not known yet if the entry will be in action this weekend.

This weekend's pair of events at Jetmore, KS, also mark the season-opening pair of events for the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region.

A strong mix of Kansas contenders defending their home turf and other invaders will be in the mix over the weekend as well.
