Another great night of racing at Skagit's 3/10's of a mile clay oval. The track was fast and went dry slick as the night went on. The 360 Sprints had only two heat races the first one won by #5 Jeff Fletcher of Langley B.C. with #21 Jay Smith finishing a close second. The second heat reace was one by #73 Marc Huson with #57 Jerry Bundy getting second. In the Trophy Dash it was #73 Huson who took home the Hardware. In the feature race we had too many red and yellow flags to count. It took us over an hour to run 20 laps. Of the cars that flip over were #09 of Tyson Cross and Mark Huson, also going out of the race were #9 of Bill Beavert and #97J of Hartjoy. When the checkered finaly flew it was #21 Jay Smith with his first win on the season with #5 of Jeff Fletcher finishing 2nd.

In the 410 sprint car class, the trophy dash was won by #15 Tom Waggoner of Bellingham. In the main event, because of the crash of Marc Huson in the 360 class, Bobby Burrow was commissioned to drive Marc's #73 ride in the feature, with a starting position on the pole. The race was shortned to 20 laps and #15 Tom Waggoner led all but the first few laps by being the only driver on the track who had his car set right to go in the high grove. However at the end of the race it was discovered the his muffler had fallen off somewhere on the track and he was disqualified. The winner of the race was then declared to be #73 car of Marc Huson, driven by Bob Burrow.

Next week I promise to take a note book with me so I can write this better and not strickly from memmory. If you are reading these articles and have comments please email me. I'm new at this but I'd appreciate your feedback.
