ASCS Southern Tour Schedule Announced

TULSA, Okla. (February 23, 2006)- An impressive schedule for the Heintz Performance American Sprint Car Series Southern Tour was released from the series home office in Tulsa, OK, today.

The '06 Southern Tour slate already consists of thirteen nights of racing at ten different tracks throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and eastern Tennessee, with an additional date yet to be determined for Lavonia Motor Speedway in Georgia.

The ASCS Southern Tour will kick off the season at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC, on Friday night, April 21, before moving on to New 311 Speedway in Madison, NC, the next night.

The season wraps up with the World Short Track Championships at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway near Charlotte, NC, on November 3-4. The series is also at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 24.

Other tracks set to host the series in 2006 include North Carolina's Antioch Speedway, South Carolina's Mileback Speedway, Lancaster Motor Speedway and Cherokee Super Speedway, Virginia's Oak Level Speedway and Virginia Motor Speedway and Tennessee's Atomic Speedway.
