Ziehl Topples ASCS Southwest at USA
TUCSON, Ariz. (July 4, 2009) -- Defending American Sprint Car Series Southwest Region champion Rick Ziehl snared his first series win of the year by topping Saturday night's 25-lap feature at USA Raceway.
Ziehl raced forward from ninth to take the win aboard the Stafford Performance-powered Lucas Oil No. 20z Maxim, with Rickey Hood, Kyle Sager, Ben Gregg and Mike Martin rounding out the top five.
Martin, John Carney II and Jessica Van Dyke topped heat races for Saturday night's 29-car field, with Kaylene Verville winning the "B" Main.
