NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (September 5, 2004) - Danny Hagar scored his fourth career Susquehanna Speedway Park Super Sportsman win in the Credit Connection Auto Sales / Trail Motors Night at the Races on Sunday evening's 25-lap feature event. Other winners include Kory Sites in the Silver Springs Street Stock event, and Ed Hollenbach swept double features for the PA Four Cylinders.

Front row starter Danny Hagar led the 25-lap Super Sportsman feature from start to finish and kept just enough room between him and second place finisher Pat Cannon to remain unchallenged for the lead. Pat Cannon started sixth and moved his way to second on lap 15. Pat's brother Steve Cannon finished third after starting third. Frankie Herr and Smokey Snelbaker completed the top five. Heat wins went to Danny Hagar, Steve Cannon, Rich Eichelberger and Bob Fannasy won the consolation.

In the 20-lap event for the Silver Springs Street Stocks presented by Miller Racing Parts, Kory Sites used the high lane to power past early leader George Eash on lap 16 and go on for the win. Craig Morgan, after starting eighth, charged up to grab the runner-up spot while Eash finished third. Stan Wanner and Bob Scott, Jr. rounded out the top five. Heat wins went to George Eash and Bob Scott, Jr.

In the first of two PA Four Cylinder feature events presented by Wentzel's Auto Body of Myerstown, PA, Ed Hollenbach led from the start to pick up the win over Jerry Bard who pursued him the whole way. Bard trailed Hollenbach by less than a car length the entire event but could not find the opportunity to make the winning pass. Leroy Long started tenth and moved all the way to third. Ronnie Buck and Grant Adams rounded out the top five.

In the second event for the PA Four Cylinders, Ed Hollenbach moved to the inside of Jerry Bard on the second lap and went on to grab his second feature win of the night. Ronnie Buck came from seventh starting spot for a second place finish, with Jerry Schott, Jr., Brian Michael and Kyle Levengood rounding out the top five. Heats went to John Stoll, Jr., Ed Hollenbach and Jerry Bard with Tim Burkholder picking up the consolation victory.

The next race will be Thursday Night, September 9 as SSP hosts the final round for the Great American School Buses of 2004. Also racing will be the 410 Sprint Cars and Xtreme Stock Cars. There will be a $1,000 bounty (along with the $2,500 first prize) going to any driver that can win the 410 Sprint Car feature event other than SSP Points Leader Fred Rahmer of Salfordsville, PA. However, in order to collect the bounty, Rahmer must finish the race. Due to the handicap system in effect, the best Rahmer can start is 11th or 12th. Rahmer has won six feature events during the season and the last four straight at SSP.

Gates open in the pit area at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstand gates opening at 5:00 p.m. Warmups begin at 7:00 p.m. with racing beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m. Grandstand ticket prices are Adults (18 & older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children (6-12) $4.00; and Children (5 & under) are free.
