GOHN, CLINE, AND DARVALICS LEAD RESPECTIVE ROOKIE POINTS IN O'REILLY USCS
FAYETTEVILLE, GA - Bryn Gohn of Malabar, FL, Bruce Cline of Apex, NC, and Stephen Darvalics of Venice, FL top four different Rookie of the Year races in the O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series. Gohn leads the Robison Race Products National Rookie of the Year point standings and the Asphalt Thunder Tour RoY points. Cline tops the Carolina Thunder Tour RoY points, and Darvalics leads the Southern Thunder Tour RoY points.
In the Robison Race Products National RoY standings, the 19-year-old Gohn leads 16-year-old Matt Tiffany of Daytona Beach, FL 1,286 to 1,262 respectively. Darvalics is third with 1,018 followed by Cline with 660.
Kevin Swindell of Bartlett, TN, who is running a limited pavement schedule with the O'Reilly USCS, is fifth with 558 points. Josh Harris of Denton, NC is sixth in the National RoY points with 392, and Dustin Apple of Elon, NC is seventh with 266 points.
Gohn leads the O'Reilly USCS Asphalt Thunder Tour RoY points with 774, followed by Tiffany with 768 points. The 17-year-old Darvalics is third with 596, followed by 16-year-old Swindell with 558, and Cline rounds out the top five with 130.
Cline, an open-wheel modified graduate, leads Gohn in the O'Reilly USCS Carolina Thunder Tour RoY points, 493 to 481 respectively. Tiffany is third with 472 points followed by Darvalics with 386 points, 16-year-old Harris with 369, and Apple with 233.
With one event in the books in the O'Reilly USCS Southern Thunder Tour season, Darvalics leads the RoY standings with 161 points, and has a two-point advantage over Gohn. Cline is third with 157 points followed by Tiffany with 156 points, and Harris with 153 points.
