The Craft Disbury Racing team have been so close but so far in their search for a World Series Sprintcar victory this season and the team is full of confidence heading into the fifth round of the World Series Sprintcars this weekend at Avalon.

With the pair of drivers being featured on the “Speed Machine” program on the Nine Network on Sunday morning at 10:30am across Australia they are hoping they can be watching the program in high spirits following a good run in Saturday night.

Prior to the Sunday program South Australian viewers will be able to see all the action from the opening round of the Championship in Brisbane on the “Speed Machine” program at 11am on Saturday.

In his first view of the Avalon Raceway last weekend the American Sensation, Johnson was nothing short of sensational charging his way through the field in the A-Main and will be one of the favourites heading into this weekend’s event.

“The track was a lot better than what I thought it was going to be you could rally race on it if you wanted to just as people seen in my run in the Feature,” says Johnson.

“It is a place where qualifying well and finishing your heats are ever so important.”

Johnson’s team mate, former World Series Champion, Brad Heywood leaped inside the top 10 in Championship points last weekend is also got some confidence under his belt after last week’s sixth placing.

“I was happy with last week’s result but there is still a fair bit of improvement to go. Since Saturday Paul (Knott) thinks that he has found the problem with the engine on the restarts and hopefully that will help me get off the line better,” comments Heywood.

Johnson will leave for Avalon tomorrow to take a detour and spend some time in “My town” with one of the CDR corporate partners, Gary and Tracey Douglas of GT Bobcat in Mount Gambier.

The fifth round of World Series Sprintcars will be live on www.sprintcarworld.com.au from 6:00pm Central Daylight Saving Time with live audio and results.
