Bowmanville, Canada, Michael Galati driving the number 8 Champion Audi S4 finished second in round two of the Speedvision GT Series at the famed Mosport circuit.

Derek Bell driving the number 9 Legends of Motorsport/Champion Audi/Audi S4, finished the hour sprint in seventh, putting both Audi's in the top 10. Qualifying saw the Audi of Galati starting from the third position with a time 1:29.474 and an average speed of 96 mph. This event marked Galati's first start of the season, having just taken delivery of the S4. Bell qualified in eighth place with a time of 1:30.336 and an average speed of 90 mph.

"I had a great start, getting by the Porsche of David Schardt and then got a little pinched by P.D. Cunningham," said Michael Galati. "I then got by P.D. going up the hill and tried to stay in touch with the Porsche and the Viper of Bobby Archer then came the first yellow. I had another good restart, I was able to get by the Porsche and tried to get by Archer but stayed in second. We had a third restart, the Viper got a good jump and I was able to hold second place to the finish. We really didn't have anything for them on the back straight away. I think the two yellows hurt us, maybe we could of got the Viper if they would have used a little more tire."

"We are very happy with the performance of the S4 in this second event," said Rod Bymaster, manager of Audi Sport North America. "The four-wheel drive is proving to be an asset on the standing starts as well as in the high speed turns. We need to work on our straight-line speed, the big V-8's have a definite advantage there. Both Michael and Derek drove great races."

The Mosport race will be televised on Speedvision on June 10th at 8:00 p.m. and on Fox Sports on June 25th at 12:00 p.m.

The next race will be this weekend at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.
