SPEED WORLD CHALLENGE GT CORVETTE DRIVEN BY BRIAN KUBINSKI SUSTAINS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE IN TRAILER FIRE

CRP Racing and Brian Kubinski regret to inform the racing community that they will not be attending the Long Beach race in April. On the way back to Charlotte from the Sebring Race the transporter caught fire only a half hour away from the CRP race shop in Harrisburg, NC, damaging the racecar and the team equipment. The extensive damage to the car and equipment will prevent the team from competing at Long Beach. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

CRP Racing and Brian Kubinski hope to be ready for the World Challenge race at Miller Motorsports Park in May. Says Nicholas Short, owner of CRP Racing, "It's going to be difficult for us, being a small team, to recover from this very unfortunate incident. However, we will pull all of our resources together and work very hard to be back at Miller. We feel terrible that Brian will miss the race at Long Beach but are determined to get the car and team back into full competitive force as soon as possible. We are hoping Nationwide Insurance will come through for us on this, being such a big supporter of our sport."
