STE. CROIX, QUEBEC – For the second-straight race and the third time this season, RealTime Racing teammates Peter Cunningham, of W. Bend, Wis., and Pierre Kleinubing, of Erexim, Brazil, will lead the Speedvision World Challenge GT and Touring Car fields at the green light, respectively, taking the pole positions for the Round Five races, part of Le Grand Prix de Ste. Croix in Quebec. Driving the No. 42 RealTime Racing BMW M3, Cunningham turned a fastest time of 42.867 seconds (92.378 mph)–0.031-second faster than second place Bill Cooper's Les Stanford/Pirate Racing Chevrolet Corvette C5, who turned a lap of 42.898 seconds. "The track was very slippery today because of the heat," said Cunningham, who has 14-career World Challenge poles. "The BMW M3 is very agile, and that's what helped on this tight track." Bobby Archer, of Ft. Worth, Texas, qualified third in a Dodge Viper GTS, followed by the Corvette C5s of Reese Cox and John Heinricy. Kleinubing earned his fourth pole in five races and 12th in the last 15, turning a lap of 44.914 seconds (88.168 mph) in the No. 42 BuySellorHold.com/RealTime Racing Acura Integra R. Kleinubing's lap was just 0.061-second faster than Mike Fitzgeralds run of 44.975 seconds in the Pure Image/TCKlineRacing.com BMW 328Ci. "We were over a second slower yesterday, but my crew really worked hard on the suspension and rear wing to make the car much faster," said Kleinubing, who was only ninth fastest in Friday's practice sessions. "We have the car sprung softer than any other track we've ever run. This is gonna be a tough race. I'm looking for points toward the championship." Fitzgerald's teammate, Neal Sapp, was third, followed by the BMWs of Alfred duPont and Steve Pfeffer.
