Utah: K-PAX Racing practice two report

K-PAX Racing's Volvos Run Second and Third in Second Practice at Utah

Tooele, UT (October 2, 2010) - The K-PAX Racing Volvos posted two of top three fastest times in Saturday's second practice session for the Toyo Tires World Challenge Utah Grand Prix presented by Bondurant at Miller Motorsports Park. Andy Pilgrim's best time was a 1:57.823 (93.130) in the number 8 K-PAX Volvo S60, which was a mere 0.013 of a second behind the 1:57.810 (93.140) put down by Kuno Wittmer in a Dodge Viper. Randy Pobst was third fastest in the session in the number 6 K-PAX Volvo S60, with a quick lap of 1:58.373 (92.697).

"We managed to fix the overheating issues from this morning, and were able to turn more laps at speed. The car was better overall and we improved our time quite a bit (1.318 seconds). It was a much more productive session," Andy said.

"I like it better when I'm first, but I'm actually really happy with the way my K-PAX Volvo is performing with all the rewards weight I've got. It's amazing the car can be that fast in that condition and the Toyo Tires can handle all that weight, so I'm really happy with that," Randy said.

Qualifying will take place on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. MT, and the Toyo Tires World Challenge Utah Grand Prix presented by Bondurant is set for 2:55 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. MT.
