Kim Jane and Jim Richards continue their battle at the top of the Ozzie NASCAR field after the two races held at the Adelaide Internation Raceway half mile oval last weekend. Kim's cousin and NASCAR supremo Bob's son Rodney Jane scored his best ever NASCAR result without two seconds on the night, beaten both times by his elder cousin Kim. The result was a clean sweep for John Sidney Racing, the team the ran the 1994 Champion Barry Graham, and 1995 Champion Max Dumesny. Neville Lance was third for the night with a 5th and a 3rd. Avoiding a late race spinning spinning Terry Wyhoon and Max Dumesny cost Jim Richards 2nd in the second race, after earlier being punted into the wall by Greg Murphy, and in the first race Richards lost second place when punted by Rodney Jane, however on the night no-one in the thin field had an answer to Kim Jane.
