Rochester Steel Treating Works and Jan Leaty Team up for R.O.C.

Williamson, NY - Jan Leaty and Williamson-based Branich Motorsports are pleased to announce a sponsorship agreement with Rochester Steel Treating Works, Inc. (RSTW). Celebrating 70 years of service in 2002, RSTW will be the team's primary sponsor for the 52nd Annual Sunoco Modified Race of Champions to be held this coming weekend at Oswego (NY) Speedway. Leaty's tour modified will carry the colors of the Rochester, NY, company specializing in commercial heat treatment of a wide variety of steel and related alloy parts.

Leaty has dubbed the team's 2002 modified effort his "comeback" year, and the team boasts two wins while running only a limited schedule. Leaty won the season "Weekly Series" opener at Spencer Speedway (in Williamson, NY), and then won the prestigious New Hampshire 100 (at New Hampshire International Speedway) on the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour in July. The team also grabbed a top 10 finish in the Times Dispatch 100 when the Featherlite Tour visited Richmond (Va.) International Speedway earlier this summer. With the help of RSTW, the team hopes to continue its success and improve on last year's fourth place finish in the Race of Champions.

Additional sponsors have supported Leaty and the Branich modified effort this year. Wayne Regional Orthopaedics, LLC, (Williamson, NY) is a major sponsor. Heluva Good Foods, Inc. (Sodus, NY) is sponsoring the team's "Racing for Kids" program. Mr. Auto/Parts Plus (Ontario, NY), Horning Construction Co., Inc, (Rochester, NY), Cleason Concrete Products (Palmyra, NY), and Davie Kaplan Chapman Braverman, PC (Rochester, NY) are associate sponsors for the season.

HSBC (Sodus, NY) is providing additional support, and Williamson (NY) Rotary and Ed Harof (Williamsville, NY) have taken advantage of the team's website marketing program. Factory support for the team is being provided by Bob Bruneau Race Engines, Bart Wheels, Wilwood Engineering, Sunoco Race Fuels, Pennzoil, Leaf Racewear and Safety Products, Oval Drive Communications, WIX Air Filters, and Fram Oil Filters. Additional product support is provided by Troyer Race Cars, Cobra Motorhomes and Sales, Fluoro Film, Inc, Russell True Value, Lawson Products, East Coast Electric, Bicknell Racing Products, NAPA, Michael Boone Signs and P.E.D. Race Products.
