FULLER WINS FOURTH OF THE SEASON AT BREWERTON SPEEDWAY ON COORS LIGHT / SUN-UP FOODS NIGHT

BREWERTON, NY...Tim Fuller wasted little time in moving to the front of the DIRT Big Block Modified field last Friday at Brewerton Speedway on Coors Light / Sun-Up Foods Night. In the process the driver from Northern New York won his fourth $2,000 to win 35-lap event of the season at the D-shaped DIRT Demon in the Native Poker sponsored entry.

DIRT Big Block Modified rookie driver Kevin Bates jumped out to the early lead at the start of the main event from the outside pole starting position. Bates led the first five circuits of the event. Tom Sears Jr. took the top spot away from Bates on lap six. Bates regained the lead from Sears on lap seven. And the duo continued to swap the top spot through lap nine.

Fuller took the lead away from Sears on lap-10 as he wasted little time in charging to the front. Decker followed Fuller through the field and the duo raced side by side for over 10 circuits. Alan Johnson made his typical late race charge to make it a three car battle for the win. Fuller never gave up possession of the top spot and earned the feature win.

Alan Johnson won the battle for the second position with Decker having to settle for third. Jimmy Phelps and Danny Johnson finished in positions fourth and fifth respectively. Pat Ward, Bates, Ryan Phelps, Matt Sheppard and Scott Prentice completed the top ten feature finishers in the most competitive field in DIRT Motorsports racing.

Former IMCA Modified Track Champion and current point leader Johnny Hill earned his third 20-lap IMCA Modified feature race win last Friday night. Dale Caswell, Kevan Cook, Rich Keller and Steve Coit rounded out the top five feature finishers. Hill made the winning move on lap-18 past Caswell. Rich Keller and Coit were also feature race leaders.

Tim Devendorf was another former track champion that added to his point lead last Friday night. Devendorf won his fourth ESDCA Mod Lite feature race win ahead of Mike Isabell, Lowell Zehr, Joe Gwilt and Rocco Leone. Devendorf passed Mike Isabell for the win on lap-16. Isabell led the first 15-laps of the main event.

Chuck Powelczyk maintained his point lead in the Four Cylinder Super Stock class with his sixth 15-lap win of the season last Friday night. Joey Delacruz, Claude Hutchings Jr., Aron Backus and Lorraine Powelczyk finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Powelczyk earned the victory with a last lap pass of Delacruz. Matt Wetterer and Sam Carista were also feature race winners.

Chad Guthrie won yet another Four Cylinder Enduro last Friday night and added to his point lead in the class. Chad Dupra, Morris Matthews, Josh Herbert and Jerry Herbert completed the top five feature finishers.

Race competition will pick-up again this Friday at Brewerton Speedway with the DIRT Big Block Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, IMCA Modifieds, ESDCA Mod Lites and Four Cylinder Super Stocks all in action. A special Paper Bag Race will also be contested. Show time is 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, August 30 is the long awaited return of the Advance Auto Parts Big Block Super DIRT Series to the D-shaped DIRT Demon. The winner of the 100-lap affair will collect $6,000. An IMCA Modified Empire State Series Race will also be featured. Race time is 7:30 p.m.
