Brewerton to host 358 Modified championship week

12TH ANNUAL LEAF RACEWEAR 358 MODIFIED SUPER DIRT WEEK CHAMPIONSHIP AT BREWERTON SPEEDWAY ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6TH

BREWERTON, NY...The 12th Annual Leaf Racewear 358 Modified Super DIRT Week Championship at Brewerton Speedway is set for Thursday, October 6. The winner of the 75-lap shoot-out will earn $4,000 in the event in what many call the "Show of Super DIRT Week". The popular Mod Lite class will compete in a 25-lap special of their own which will pay $200 to win. Race time at the D-shaped DIRT Demon is 7:30 p.m.

Alan Johnson is the defending champion of the Leaf Racewear Super DIRT Week special. Johnson is a three time winner of the Super DIRT Week special at the D-shaped DIRT Demon. Brett Hearn is the only other repeat winner of the DIRT Week special at Brewerton Speedway with a pair of victories. Frank Cozze, Bob McCreadie and Tim Fuller are all one-time winners in the season finale at Brewerton Speedway.

The popular Mod Lite division will join the 358 Modifieds on Thursday, October 6 in a fan friendly two division mid-week race program. Tim Devendorf, Darren Forbes, Frank Doll Jr., Dan Williams and Doug Williams were the top five drivers this season in the highly competitive class. All five drivers were multi-time feature winners in the division this season on the multi-groove track.

Brewerton Speedway gates on Thursday, October 6 will open at 4:30 p.m. Race competition will start at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $20, with ages 10-14 priced at $10. Children nine years of age and under will be admitted free of charge. There is no pre-sale of tickets. All seats are general admission seating with the exception of season reserved seats which are painted orange. No blankets will be allowed down until gates open.
