GABEHART LEADS CRA SUPER SERIES POINTS HEADING INTO THIS WEEKENDS CRA SUPER SUNDAY SHOW

Salem, IN (May 16, 2007) -- Indianapolis, Indiana native Chris Gabehart heads into Sunday's CRA Super Sunday Presented By Dietsch Sales & Service CRA Super Series event at Baer Field Speedway in Ft. Wayne, Indiana as the series points leader after two events with 198 points. After a slow start to the 2007 season, the series will have five events over the next four weeks including next weekends doubleheader at Berlin Raceway and Toledo Speedway, the June 2 event at Columbus Motor Speedway, in addition to the rescheduled June 9th event at Anderson Speedway that was moved from its original April 14th date because of weather.

Gabehart has a 17 point lead over second place Jeff Lane with two top five finishes in the series first two events including a fifth place finish in the April 1st Spring Clash 150 at the Music City Motorplex and a fourth place finish in the April 22nd Manning Service 100 at Winchester Speedway. Gabehart has picked up an extra 16 points in the first two events for being the second fastest qualifier in each event. Gabehart has a busy summer planned, besides competing with the CRA Super Series, Gabehart works full-time for Advanced Racing Suspensions and is promoting the September 21 & 22 Circle Track Nationals at O'Reilly Raceway Park with car owner Jim Winters. The $10,000 to win, $1000 to start 100 lap CRA Super Series event with that show could be one of the biggest pavement late model events ever held. Gabehart also plans to run some selected bigger late model events around the country in an effort to promote the Circle Track Nationals event.

Lane sets in second with 181 points, thanks in part to his second place finish in the Manning Service 100 at Winchester Speedway. Jason Shively has his best start ever with the CRA Super Series setting in third place with 168 points after a sixth place finish in the Manning Service 100. Veteran series competitor JR Roahrig is in fourth with 166 points with 1997 series Champion Kenny Tweedy in fifth with 160 points. Rookie contenders John Van Doorn is in sixth with 158 points followed by Sean Matthuis in seventh with 156 points. Defending series Champion Scott Hantz is in eighth with 154 points, followed by Jack Smith in ninth with 146 points and Eddie Van Meter in tenth with 144 points.

Everyone in the top ten in points is entered for Sunday's event along with CRA Super Series regulars Rick Turner, Terry Fisher Jr., and A. J. Ganino. Other Rookie contenders entered include Jeff Bozell, Donald Karr Jr., and Tony Ponkauskas who will make the long haul from Maryville, Tennessee to compete in Sunday's event. Two-time series winner Jack Landis will make his 2007 series debut along with Rich Segvich , Jeep Pflum, Brian Muick, Jason Dietsch, Jeremy Spoonmore, and Bob Sibila Jr. Royce Mason II of Ft. Wayne, son of former series competitor Royce Mason, is entered to make his first ever start with the CRA Super Series.

Pit gates open at 8am on Sunday May 20th, practice will begin at 10am, qualifying at 12:15pm, the race program will begin at 2pm. The racing action will include the 100-lap feature for the CRA Super Series, 50 lap features for the Howe CRA Sportsman and CRA Street Stocks and a 20-lap feature for the Vore's Welding & Steel FWD Compacts.
