Salem, IN (September 3, 2003) -- Seville, Ohio's Tim Ice will make his Sunoco Super Series debut at Columbus Motor Speedway this Sunday in the Federated Auto Parts 150 Presented By K95.5, a part of the Federated Auto Parts Buckeye Bash. Ice will have the home track advantage, he was the 2002 Columbus Motor Speedway Late Model Champion and is currently second in points for the 2003 season with two feature wins. Columbus Motor Speedway's Late Model's are Outlaw type cars, which Ice has primarily raced recently. But, Ice is not short on Template Late Model experience, Ice was the "Ice" in the Iceman Series, which use to name the series after their champions, which Ice was in 1990 and 1991. At that time the Iceman Series was the premier Template Late Model Series in the Mid-west. In the past Ice has also won several big Template Late Model events at Jennerstown Speedway, and has competed in several ASA Racing Series events.

"I'm looking forward to racing with the Sunoco Super Series Sunday," commented Ice. "The Sunoco Super Series has a great group of drivers that will be tough to race against, plus I think it's going to be neat racing against Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace. Both of those guys will be good, and so will Gary St.Amant, he's got a lot of laps here at Columbus Motor Speedway, it's going to be a great race!"

Ice will be driving the number 60 Port City Chevrolet Monte Carlo owned by Butch Bando and wrenched by Rolland Johnson. Butch Bando Concrete of Galena, Ohio and Sterling Coach Restorations sponsor the team. Dominic Bando drove the car last season when the team attempted to qualify for the first two Sunoco Super Series events of the season.
