CROSSVILLE, TN - RIS - Patrick Duggan of Lenoir City held off a late race challenge by Terry Shannon of Pilot Mountain to win the 40-lap UDTRA Late Model Feature Saturday night at Crossville Speedway. After setting fastest time earlier in the evening during time trials, Duggan led all 40 laps in his Waldrop Transmission Chevrolet.

Shannon spent the first half of the race battling with Anthony White of Clinton for second spot. Shannon drove his City Bonding Chevrolet to the bottom groove in turn two to pass White's Clinton Muffler Chevrolet at the halfway point. By the time that Shannon cleared White, Duggan enjoyed a full straightaway lead on the 1/3 mile high banked clay oval.

While Shannon tried to chase down Duggan, Randy Weaver of Crossville moved his NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet up to challenge White for third. With ten laps to go, Shannon closed to within a car length of Duggan and Weaver was able to get under White and take the third spot.

Duggan worked lapped traffic to his advantage, as he was able to stretch his lead out to six car-lengths at the drop of the checkered flag. Shannon had to settle for second, with Weaver third, White fourth, and Dave Bilbrey of Crossville brought his Parks Truck Service Ford home in the fifth spot.

In other action, Steve Mullinax of Crossville breezed to victory in the 20-lap Open Wheel Modified feature driving the Sam's Satellite Chevrolet. Greg Hoskins of Crossville was second and Duke Lowe of Crossville charged from the 12th starting spot to take third.

Lynn Selby of Crossville outran Brandon Williams of Crossville and Trent Mullinax of Crab Orchard to win the 125-lap Super Stock feature. Luke Crass of Harriman won the 15-lap Pure Mini feature followed by Rick Grubb of Knoxville and Dwayne Dishman of Kingston. Walter Sims of Hardin Valley took the 15-lap Pure Street Bomber feature over Stanley Selby and Shane Hancock.

Next week Crossville Speedway will return to Friday night racing while Atomic Speedway will return to Saturday nights. Both will offer a full schedule of racing action.
