IPOWER Announces Ace Speedway Event Date
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (March 30, 2004) -- IPOWER announced today that Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, NC will host a Championship events for the IPOWER DASH Series and Mean Miatas on Friday, July 2, 2004.
Race track managers, Larry and Gloria Barbare, have been long time supporters of the DASH Series. Barbares have hosted DASH races at other tracks they have managed, such as Lonesome Pine Raceway and Orange County Speedway.
Recently they relocated to Altamahaw area to manage Ace Speedway and were quick to contact IPOWER about having a DASH event at the track.
"We are not only excited about taking the series back to Ace, but we are always thrilled to work with Larry and Gloria," said Randy Claypoole, IPOWER Executive. "I cannot tell you how many times the Barbares have attended our races at other tracks. They have followed the series for many years. We appreciate their friendship and look forward to working with them to promote this event in July."
Ace Speedway is also planning to invite the Mean Miatas to participate at an earlier date to help build excitement for the July race. "I am really excited about our fans seeing the convertible Mean Miatas. I can remember watching the NASCAR convertibles many years ago. The fans have no idea how exciting it is to be able to watch the drivers in the cockpit of the car," said Barbare.
