JOE STFANSKI SCORES CONTROVERSIAL WIN OVER ROOD AT FULTON SPEEDWAY IN PRO STOCK SPECIAL
FULTON, NY...Joe Stefanski scored a controversial win over Jason Rood in the DIRT Pro Stock feature race last Monday at Fulton Speedway. Rood had owned the race lead for the opening 23-laps in the $1,000 to win special. With just two laps to go Rood and Stefanski came together which resulted in Stefanski coming away with the top spot. Rood quickly recovered and made a run back at Stefanski, but the victory went to Stefanski by half a car length
Stefanski exited his car in victory lane in what was evident by the capacity crowds reaction a non-popular victory. Rood had to settle for a second place finish. John Pietorwicz, Ray Maloney and Jack Terrell completed the top five feature finishers in the high paying special. Allen Peters, Jeremy Clark, Bret Belden, Pat Hobbs and John Panattoni finished in positions sixth through tenth respectively. A total of 25 cars started the 25-lap event.
Professional DIRT Motorsports competition continues every Saturday night with the DIRT Big Block Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks in action weekly. Various added attractions are featured every Saturday night. For more information on Fulton Speedway please go on line to www.fultonspeedway.com.
