Greenwood, Indiana's Chad Warweg holds the one lap track record in the Carmel Sod Modifieds and has won three features this season at the Indianapolis Speedrome. Warweg started on the pole of Friday's 50-lap feature with defending champ and series points leader Billy George on the outside and 2-time series champ and current points runner-up Jim Begley tucked in behind. At the drop of the green George hung tough on the outside groove forcing Warweg to run a slower line down low. After banging wheels at the start and around the track for the first lap the two were side-by-side diving into Turn One of the second lap. Exiting Turn Two George got around Warweg and took the lead on the backstretch, Warweg lost control entering Turn Three and spun into a stall with the rest of the 19 car field scrambling to get clear. Warweg left the track and George won the race. George stretches his points lead with four races remaining in the weekly series.

A frightening crash midway through the Race City Auto Sales Legend Car feature had past champion Rodney Smith riding the nose of his car for 20 feet down the frontstretch and Eric Black flipping his ride to bring out the red. David Sutton went on to win the 35-Lap main over points leader Doug Greig. Tony Sanders swept the races for the Bandoleros.

Shawn Kloss and Randy Hutchison claimed Sunshine Cafe Roadrunners features and Oza Hoosier snagged the Yardarm Bomber Figure-8 main.
