The field is forming for Saturday's 27th Annual World Championship Figure-8 Three Hour endurance Race. Washington State's Don Eslick and Ricky Dietz were some of the firsts in the gate. Michigan's Eric Buck, Jeremy Miller and Greg Studt; California's "Barefoot" Billy Ziemann: Florida's Gordon Brown and John LaValle; Jess James of TV's "Monster Garage"; Anderson's Mike Riddle; Arcadia's Mike Cain; past Speedrome champs Bruce Tunny and Rodney Sizemore; and over twenty others from Indiana and throughout the U.S. were on hand for an evening of practice in preparation for tomorrow's qualifying races.

In addition to the preparations for the World Championship event an evening of racing greeted the fans on hand.

Scott Tabor has set his sights on the final Sunshine Cafe Roadrunner championship of the 2003 regular season and turned in a championship caliber performance Thursday night. Tabor came from the rear of the 20-Lap main to take the win over Nick Moore and early leader Diane Bohnenkamp. Barry Coy and Larry Thomas rounded out the top five while points Todd Amos was absent and lost his top spot. Heat wins went to Moore, Coy and Ricky Martin.

A pair of features for the Speedrome's popular Hornet series saw Tim Harding capture the first 20-Lapper over series championship challenger Rob Hurt and newcomer Steve Capps. In the second feature it was Bryan Placek scoring his career first win over Danny Carson and Darrell Absher. Points leader Michael George was not in attendance heat wins went to Terry Gunn, Ronnie Ricketts, Terry Pierson and Mike Frazier.
