Racing action was back at Mission Valley Speedway Sunday afternoon. All classes raced Sunday to make up for some weather plagued cancelled race nights. There were two feature races on tap, one for the Budweiser Compacts and one for MGD/Lite Hobby Stocks.
In the double points 50 lap Compact race Justin Drake #3 took the win in only his second time in that car. Tim Corbett #12 challenged Justin Drake in the final laps and had a strong second place run and Dennis Schneider #15 finished third.
In the MGD/Lite Hobby Stock Blast for Cash Casey Brandt #31 took home the win and the cash for the second year in a row. Russ Burland #73 lead some laps and finished second and Doug "Papa" Moeller #74 finished third.
Amanda Watt took first place in the Bomber 4's. Nate Dumont #46 picked up the win the Pepsi/Pizza Hut Super Stocks. Justin Drake #66 got another win in the Stuart's NAPA Bombers. Chuck Weich #21 won the Formula Indy's race. Rick Sanders and Tim Denson #113 picked up another win in the Kruser class.
This Saturday is Championship night the final points race of the year with all classes racing. The Pepsi/Pizza Hut Super Stocks, MGD/Lite Hobby Stocks, Budweiser Compacts, Stuart's NAPA Bombers, Bomber 4's, Krusers, and Formula Indy's will all be racing to determine who is the champion on this double points night.
This Sunday is the second annual Figure 8 Demolition Derby. The demo drivers will be all out making contact and hits in the "X". Also Sunday will be the Bomber Outlaw race where rules don't mean a thing and Tuff Trucks return to the track to catch some sic air.
