Pendleton, Ind. (July 28, 2003) - Atticus Missner will make his stock car debut in the Meijer 250 presented by BFGoodrich Tires on Saturday, August 2, under the lights of Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich. Atticus will pilot a third car for SS Racing. Missner will team with ASA veteran Butch Miller (#52 Timber Wolf) and rookie Zach Niessner (#04 Juice Batteries).

"I've worked very closely with Atticus in preparation for the event in Berlin," said Miller, currently second in ASA national point standings. "He truly has the skills and ability to be successful and I am excited to have him as a teammate. Berlin is a special track and has been very good to me over the years. We hope my experience there will pay dividends for Atticus and the SS Racing Teams."

Atticus has competed in the Barber Dodge Pro Series this year. Like most top open wheel drivers in the nation, Missner started his career by racing go-karts. Atticus hopes to make the transition from open wheel cars to stock car racing in a pursuit to reach the highest levels of stock car racing.

The story of Atticus Missner is an interesting one. Atticus spent his childhood in New England and in the Midwest. He attended many races at tracks like Bear Ridge in Vermont. In preparation for ASA, Atticus participated in open-wheel racing and karting, honing his skills alongside many major international champions.

He became a race car driver late in life, participating in open-wheel racing and karting, honing his skills alongside some international champions. By launching his professional career in ASA, Atticus is returning to his childhood roots -- the world of stock cars. Like so many others, Atticus dreams of challenging the world's best drivers on Super Speedways. But the truth is, he loves the rough and tumble action found on half-mile asphalt tracks on lazy Saturday nights all across America.

The 11th event of the 2003 ASA Racing Series is set for Saturday, August 2 at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich. The Meijer 250 presented by BFGoodrich Tires 250 takes the green flag at 9 p.m. (Local) and will be telecast live on SPEED Channel.
