Bamke Looks Ahead to Jefferson Speedway

AYTONA BEACH, FL (March 15, 2007) -- The American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment has signed 19-year-old Collin Bamke from Slinger, WI as a registered driver for the 2007 inaugural season.

Bamke has learned about Super Late Model competition from the best in the Midwest at the World's fastest quarter-mile paved oval - Slinger Speedway. He won the feature event in only his sixth start as a Rookie in 2006.

"I was thrilled to see Collin register with the Tour this year. He is going to miss our first event but he'll be very well prepared for Jefferson Speedway on May 19th. Collin has real potential to be a star and we can help get him there. He has picked up Super Late Model racing in a very short amount of time and he's going to be one to follow week in and week out. Collin is really personable and an asset to the Tour," ASAMT VP Steve Einhaus commented.

Bamke started racing at the age of nine in go-karts at the Motorplex at Road America. In 2001 he won two IRA National Enduro Series go-kart championships. Collin then picked up the pace and joined the Midwest Sportsman division at Slinger, finishing fifth in the 2004 Championship standings. He won his first race the same day he graduated High School in 2005 and went on to win one more feature and finish third in the final standings.

"The competition in the Tour is what really excites me. I will be competing against the best out there at every event so any top-ten finishes will be a great accomplishment. The exposure the teams and drivers will be getting will be the greatest change from racing weekly at the same track and that will really help," Bamke remarked.

Collin is employed as a Media Specialist at Best Buy. Outside of racing, he enjoys playing video games with friends. His parents Mark and Penny Bamke and younger brother Ethan are his greatest supporters in racing.

Collin is most looking forward to the event at the Dells Raceway Park (Tuesday, June 12). "I've always wanted to race there but never have the opportunity to," he explained.

Bamke is sponsored by CBA Tire, servicing the Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan areas with its fourteen full service commercial truck tire dealerships and seven Bandag retread plants. More information is available online at www.cbatire.com.
