ROUND THREE OF MCDONALD'S PIT STOP COMPETITION SET TO GO AT TIME WARNER CABLE 200

PENDLETON, Ind. - When the American Speed Association visits America's legendary oval, The Milwaukee Mile on August 28-29, teams will gear up for the third round of The McDonald's Drive-Thru Challenge ASA National Pit Stop competition. This is the final qualifying round before the National Championship finals at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont (N.C.).

The format of the competition calls for three teams from each of the first three rounds to earn positions in the National Championship final, plus the addition of one wild card team based on the fastest pit time of all non-qualified teams. There will be a total of $20,000 in cash and prizes awarded throughout the competition.

Gary St. Amant and the Automotive Promotions team will try for its third straight pit stop victory, after capturing first place during the first round in Memphis (TN) and the second round in Salem (IN). Along with St. Amant, the teams of Rick Johnson, Ric k Beebe, Eddie Hoffman, Tim Sauter, and Mike Garvey all have locked in positions to the finals by finishing with the top-three times at Memphis Motorsports Park and Salem Speedway.

The top-three non-qualified teams at Milwaukee along with the fastest non-qualified team from all three rounds will comprise the ten teams who will compete for the National Championship at the season finale at Orange County Speedway. Mike Miller's Miller M otorsports team currently holds the fastest non-qualified time at 13.104, which he accomplished at Memphis.

Fans will receive free admission to qualifying day and the pit stop contest at the Milwaukee Mile on August 28 by showing a large or supersize McDonald's fry box at the front gate.

The third round of The McDonald's Drive-Thru Challenge ASA National Pit Stop competition starts at 3:30 p.m., August 28, following ASA Qualifications at 2:30 p.m.
