Oswego, NY - The Holiday Inn-Carrier Circle was the November site of Oswego Speedway's 4th annual Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet. Not only were the 2001 track champions Greg Furlong (supermodifieds), Mark Regan (limited supers) and Lou LeVea (super stocks) honored for this year's achievements, six men were inducted into the Oswego Hall of Fame for their past accomplishments.

The 4th annual Hall of Fame Inductees were composed of a group of famous and familiar names, not only to Oswego fans, but to many in the racing community in the U.S. and in Canada. The three drivers lauded this year were Canadian Kenny Andrews, Art Bennett, and Ron Wallace. Ron Buckner was named into the hall as a successful car owner, while Maynard Troyer received the honor for his fabulous modified career as both a driver and builder. Veteran auto racing announcer, the late Jack Burgess, was inducted into the Hall of Fame for illustrious career that spanned many decades.

The top ten drivers in the supermodified division at Oswego received their trophies and/or plaques and checks, and they were in order: Greg Furlong (champion), Todd Stowell, Dave Trytek, Shannon Groves, Bobby Bond, Tim Snyder, Jamie Moore, Otto Sitterly, Tim Gareau, and Jeff Holbrook.

The Eagles Fan Club also paid tribute to drivers in all divisions, but their point system is based on a different system thus giving Todd Stowell/Stowell Racing the championship. Car owners, Jeff Holbrook, Bob Bond, Pat Furlong, Terry Strong, Otto Sitterly, Shannon Groves, Tim Gareau, Tim Snyder, Vern LaFave, Dave Lair, Brian Sweeney, John Eldred, Hal LaTulip, Darcey Kerfein, Buck Graham, Jamie Letcher, Joe Peri and Howard Page received checks from the Eagles Fan Club in the supermodified division.

Mark Regan picked up the Eagles champion trophy in the limited supers and he was followed by Steve Austin, Dan Ferlito, Shawn Muldoon, Matt Wheeler, Doug Rundell, Mike Gardner, Jack Patrick, Rob Pollitt, John Ketcham Sr., Shawn Walker, Chris Proud, Craig Rayvals, Russ Bartlett, Greg Davis, Ed Watson Sr., Janet Kapuscinski, Jim Guyle, Star Matteson and Mike Noto.
