(Ashland, KY) For the first time this season, Ashland Kentucky's Steve Francis will strap into the Moring Motorsports supported Dodge for Steve's and Larry Moring's first time together for a World of Outlaws Late Model Series event this season.

The #15 Mopar/Valvoline/Freeport Recycling/Moring Disposal Rocket Dodge will roll off the Moring Motorsports hauler at Lone Star Speedway this weekend for two World of Outlaws Late Model Series events. The racing action gets underway on April 16th for a $5,000 to win event, and the following night, April 17th, will be a $12, 000 to win event.

"This week will be a little bit different for us since I will be in Larry's car for the WoO race," commented Steve after coming off a victory in his Mopar powered Rocket Dodge at Florence Speedway. "I think it is going to fun racing at a new track and plus, Larry's crew always gives me good cars, so I am excited about this weekend," concluded Francis.

Steve's last circuits in the Moring Motorsports was on April 3rd at West Liberty Speedway for the World Dirt Racing Leagues event where the #15 Rocket Dodge machine yielded the former three time STARS Renegade DirtCar Series champion a disappointing 26th finish after debris hit Francis on the side of the helmet resulting in Steve retiring from the event.

Car owner, Larry Moring states, "Myself and our entire crew are very thankful and relieved that Steve is ok and doing well from his mishap the other weekend. We are looking forward to going down to Texas and running the Woo series races with Steve."

Going into this weekend's double events in Texas, Francis is currently 5th in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship point standings, just 28 points behind Dale McDowell.

Notes:

Events 8 and 9 on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at Lone Star Speedway will be the Kentucky Colonel's first time visiting the 4/10 mile ultra fast clay oval in Kilgore, TX.

Steve Francis highest finish in 2004 has been first place four times (Central Arizona Speedway twice, Volusia Speedway Park, and Florence Speedway).
