PENDLETON, Ind. (April 4, 2000) - Officials from TNN and the American Speed Association (ASA) ACDelco Series have announced the national cable network will telecast all 20 of the series’ 2000 events.

Previously 17 of the 20 races had been designated for broadcast, including the March 26, 2000, season-opening BFGoodrich Tires 200 from Lakeland, Fla. Events scheduled for Louisville Speedway in Kentucky, Madison International Speedway in Wisconsin and Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indiana will also be telecast on TNN Sports.

“Recently we were able to clear up some programming conflicts and it now allows us to telecast those remaining three events,” said Mark Kuchan, director of motorsports,TNN. “The ASA ACDelco Series has become, over the years, a popular part of our motorsports schedule. With all twenty events now seen on TNN, viewers can be sure where to follow this exciting series.”

“TNN committing to cover the final three races solidifies our belief in partnering with them and is already paying dividends,” said Mark Gundrum, ASA vice president of sales & marketing. “Having 100 percent of our events on TNN is definitely a big plus for sponsors and the series.”

World Sports Enterprises of Harrisburg, N.C. is the production company for all of the ASA ACDelco Series events this season.

Veteran announcers Steve Byrnes and Rick Benjamin call the action from the broadcast booth. Joel McKee serves as the producer, Ana Fleming, associate producer and Steve Byrnes, coordinating producer for World Sports Enterprises’ ASA telecasts.

The next event of the 2000 ASA ACDelco Series is the Discount Auto Parts 300 presented by Jani-King on Saturday, April 8 at 9 p.m. (Eastern) from Lanier National Speedway in Gainesville, Ga.
