JCR3 Racing Team Will Miss Remainder of 2006 to Prepare For Full 2007 Season

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 30, 2006) -- Jeff Fultz is a racer. He loves to race. In fact, this past weekend, he filled in on short notice for another team to compete in the annual All American 400 event at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, TN. Not only did Fultz make the race in an unfamiliar car, but he did so in style, driving from the back of the pack in the last chance event to finish second.

Now, Fultz wants to continue what has been a pretty good recent string of runs over the final two USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series events of the 2006 season. All he needs is a car to run them in.

Fultz's regular team, JCR3 Racing, is shutting down operations for the remainder of the 2006 season in order to properly prepare for what will be an all-out onslaught on the 2007 USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series Championship.

"As a team, we decided that we are going to skip the last two events this year and really start working hard towards 2007," said Fultz. "We want to have everything right next year and be one of the early-season favorites to win the championship. We have a team that has the ability to do it, especially when we are prepared. We came into the series late this year and found ourselves prepared, but not as prepared as we'd like to be. We want to have all of our ducks in a row for 2007 and go after the title hard.

"In the meantime, I still want to race and get as much experience as I can behind the wheel of these cars. I would really like to run in the final two races of the year and I've had good runs at both of those tracks this year. My team has given me the green light to get in some more seat time, because that will only help us for next season."

The next Championship Series event will be held at South Georgia Motorsports Park. Fultz made his Pro Cup Series debut there earlier this year and finished an impressive 10th. Fultz also earned his first-career USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series pole at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, FL back in June. He run up front during that race before mechanical problems knocked him out of the event. USA International Speedway hosts the final event of the Championship Series.

Fultz finished fifth in the last USAR Championship Series event at Myrtle Beach, his best-career finish thus far.
