"18 year old seeks momentum"

Mooresville, North Carolina (May 8, 2002) - "Rising Star" Shane Wallace anxiously awaits the running of USAR Hooters Pro Cup event at Peach State Speedway this Friday night. Wallace enters the event holding down the 14th spot in the Series point standings and looks to gain some momentum.

"We tested at Peach State earlier in the year and I feel very comfortable with our set up for this race," stated Wallace. "We look to have the #4 Engine Ice Ford hooked up and ready to run up front all night. We are past due for a run like that and hopefully this is the week."

Wallace is also currently 3rd in the Rookie standings and looks to improve upon that as the season moves on. "We set a goal before the season started of contending for the Rookie award and we need to gain some ground," said Shane.

Shane Wallace Motorsports also announces their participation in a very worthy program on May 14th. Shane and his #4 Engine Ice Ford will be on display at Franklin Height Baptist Church in Kannapolis, North Carolina. This is part of an Outreach Ministry program for the church and will feature appearances and showcars from drivers in the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series as well as the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., so come on out and visit Shane and the rest of the drivers in attendance.

The 250 lap event at Peach State Speedway on Friday evening drops the green flag at 7:30 p.m. with practice and qualifying earlier in the day.
