As the 2003 USAR Hooters Procup season progresses, so does the Glenn Gault Race Team. Since climbing from 19th to 12th in the Northern points race, Glenn feels the team is getting more competitive every race.

"Mansfield and Winchester really hurt us in the standings. We had one of the elite cars in the field at both tracks, but we had nothing to show for it. Winchester was a terrible disappointment to us, as we were running in the top 3 when a racing accident took us out of contention. Mansfield was a different story all together." Remarks car owner Larry Zolata. "We were the 6th fastest in practice all day, while running on old tires and knew by how comfortable Glenn felt with the car, that we would have been a major factor at the end of the race." A fluke distributor problem at the beginning of the race, handed the team one of the most disappointing nights of this season.

Rebuilding and moving forward, the team, headed to Salem Speedway. Salem proved to be the turning point for the team. "A strong run and a solid top 10 finish was exactly what we needed. My crew has been awesome," adds Gault. "I am proud to say that their accuracy and consistency in the pits this entire season, has kept me on the lead lap of each and every race. Our track position has never been altered during a pit stop and I am extremely proud of the crew."

The strong finishes at Salem, another top 10 at Kil-Kare and a 11th place finish at New River Speedways, has launched Glenn into the mix of the championship points race. "Just 21 points out of 8th place, that really gives me something to strive for," adds Glenn. " With a great car and a productive crew behind me at South Boston, we could prove once again to be one the most competitive cars in the field."
