Aaron's Becomes Official Sponsor of the Southern Division
Myrtle Beach, S.C.-The Hooters Pro Cup Series and Aaron's announced today that the Southern Division will be titled the "Hooters Pro Cup Aaron's Southern Division" in 2007.
Aaron's will join Sears Auto Center, which became the Northern Division title sponsor in January, as division sponsors in 2007, marking the first time that the two divisions will have title sponsors.
"Aaron's has been very proactive in its marketing efforts since coming on board two years ago," said Gene Cox, USAR President. "From the at-track displays to show cars to national marketing campaigns, Aaron's has been a great partner for the Hooters Pro Cup Series over the last few years. With Aaron's increased involvement, we feel the Hooters Pro Cup brand of racing will flourish even more in the upcoming season."
In addition to becoming the title sponsor of the Southern Division, Aaron's will also have an Aaron's Dream Machine in both divisions next season. Brett Butler will drive the No. 99 Dream Machine in the Southern Division, while Tim Bainey Jr. will pilot the No. 00 Aaron's Dream Machine in the Northern Division. Plus, Aaron's will sponsor the "Do the Math" Award for 2007, paying the driver that advances the most positions in each event $500.
"This is a very exciting day for us," said Ken Butler, President of Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership. "We feel the exposure Aaron's receives at the track and on the television broadcasts has brought us closer to the race fans and increased our brand awareness. So we are going to step it up this year. We like to say that 'Nobody Beats Aaron's' and we'll prove that when we crown the Aaron's Southern Division Champion this year."
