Super Dirt Series events highlight 2003 Utica-Rome Speedway schedule.
VERNON- With the DIRT promoters meeting now concluded, track officials have tenatively set several Super DIRT series events at Utica-Rome Speedway for the 2003 season.
On Sunday May 11th, the speedway will hold it's traditional Mother's Day special which will consist of the second stop for the Turning Stone Casino Resort DIRT-358 Modified 100 lap Super DIRT Series event. The DIRT Sportsman will also compete in the opening event for the Sunoco Race Fuels Sportsman Super DIRT Series. The Sportsman event will be the first event run under the new East/West format, with this race counting towards the East division points.
On Thursday July 31st, the DIRT Big Block Modifieds are once again set to invade the fast half-mile oval for a 100 lap affair with the return the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRT Series. This event was rained out in 2002.
The Turning Stone Casino Resort DIRT 358-Modified Super DIRT Series returns to Utica-Rome Speedway on Sunday September 14th. Once again, the DIRT 358-Modifieds will compete in a 100 lap event. Also in competition will be the DIRT Pro Stocks in an Empire Sports Network Super DIRT Series event. The Pro Stock event will also be contested in the new East/West format, will points earned going towards the East division.
