Van Camp''s Beans to sponsor Bryant-Ganelli Motorsports

Thomasville, NC (March 23, 2000) - Van Camp's Beans has announced the formation of a corporate marketing partnership between Van Camp's Beans and Bryant - Granelli (B/G) Motorsports for the 2000 American Speed Association (ASA) ACDelco Series season. B/G M otorsports' Ricky Bryant will be in the drivers seat for 10 races in 2000. The first scheduled race with the Van Camp's brand name on board will be Sunday, May 21st at Nashville (TN) Speedway USA. That race will be telecast live on TNN Sports.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for Van Camp's Beans and all our fine products to be exposed to the most loyal sports fans in the United States today: race fans," said Jeff Dryfhout, Van Camp's brand manager. "We intend to market Baked Beans, Pork and Be ans, and Beanee Weenee's to an entirely new group of consumers in a very exciting way. We also look forward to working with our retail partners as well in creating special events at their stores with contests, giveaways and product sampling all built aroun d appearances by the Van Camp's Beans car and driver Ricky Bryant."

Bryant, who is competing full time in the Goody's Dash Series this year, looks forward to this next opportunity in his racing career.

"I want to thank Van Camp's for their decision to sponsor me and my race team," said Bryant. "I look forward to competiting up front with the Van Camp's Beans car in the ASA AC Delco Series as soon as possible.

"Being able to compete in one of the premier motorsports series in the United States is a great opportunity for me and the Van Camp's Beans team. The new Vortec ASA 5700 engine will level the playing field and make for a continuation of very competitive ra cing in the ASA ACDelco Series, which also gives Van Camp's a great opportunity to market all their fine products."

B/G Motorsports partner Tom Granelli indicated that additional associate marketing partners will be announced shortly. Granelli went on to say that planning is already underway on a series of more than 30 appearances and special events with the Van Camp's Beans car at retail locations, trade shows, and race fan related shows.

One of the first appearances for the Van Camp's Beans car will be at this years Speed Street Fan Festival in downtown Charlotte in late May. Ricky Bryant will be on hand to sign autographs at the Food Lion booth, a couple times, and the Van Camp's Beans ca r will be on display all 3 days. This event, held annually, during Summer Speedweek draws over 350,000 race fans to the event.
