Bandyopadhyay started second on the grid, but took advantage of the inside line to slip past polesitter Dhruv Mohite into turn 1.

Mohite stayed on the tail of Bandyopadhyay and nearly overtook him going into turn 2 on the second lap, but the Thane-based driver held firm to maintain the status quo.

Mohite eventually started dropping into the clutches of Anmol Singh Sahil, who managed to overtake him into turn 2 but ran wide only a few corners later to slip back into third position.

The two drivers continued to battle for the remainder of the race, with Sahil making an opportunistic last-gasp move stick to claim second position behind runaway race winner Bandyopadhyay.

While Bandyopadhyay won by a comfortable margin of 4.711s, Sahil finished just 0.056s ahead of Mohite as the duo crossed the chequered flag virtually side-by-side.

Shubhomoy Ball caught up the fighting duo of Sahil and Mohite, finishing just half a second behind in fourth, while female racer Shivani gained four positions from her grid spot to end a strong fifth.

Jeet Jhabakh was sixth ahead of Tuhid Anwar, while Siddharth Mehdiratta and Akshay Bhivshetti were separated by just two tenths in eighth and ninth places respectively.

Jay Sandeep Sangharjka completed the top 10.
