Charlotte, NC .... Putting the pedal to the metal, Chris Neville powered his Soenen Motorsports Ford Mustang to a fourth place finish at the Grand Prix of Charlotte at Lowes Motor Speedway, Round 2 of the BF Goodrich -Tires Trans Am Series.

Gridded in 12th place, Neville roared off the start line and began making his way through the 37-car field. Expertly navigating around the 2.25-mile combination road and oval track, Neville continued his march, moving into 6th place prior to the half-way point.

"Taking 4th today is definitely a victory for the entire team," said the popular Scottsdale, Arizona resident. "We struggled all weekend with the car and our game plan was just to be able to finish the race. Sorting out a new car takes time and being in third place in the point standings after just two races is far better than we expected."

Continuing his bid for a top place finish, Neville took over the 4th place slot nine laps before the end of the 99-mile race. "Although I tried to challenge for 3rd, we just didn't have the car," explained Neville.

With just two weeks before Long Beach, the Soenen Motorsports team will be working overtime to get everything ready. "I'm definitely looking forward to Long Beach," says Neville, who took the pole last year. "We have a good chance to do well on that track and being part of the CART weekend is always exciting. It should be a really good event."
