Hayner comes home 4th with Sak in 6th and no longer single.

Denver, Sept 1 -- After a rained out qualifying session, Revolution Motorsports once again proved to be the dominant Corvette team in the MotoRock Trans-Am Tour for the BFG Goodrich Tires Cup at Sunday's MotoRock Mile High 100 here in Denver.

Early in the race, Stu Hayner [#2 GMAC Commercial Finance / Trenton Forging Corvette] had a miscommunication with Tomy Drisi's Jaguar in turn 5.

"We had been carrying good speed into turn 5 all weekend," explained Stu. "We came down the back stretch to find the field going slow and wide into the turn. I tried to gather it up quickly and had to swerve to the inside. The car got really squirrelly on the concrete, but I managed to stay tight to the apex. Unfortunately, the cars that had been wide were now diving across the apex and Tomy came back across my nose. I'm still not sure why it unfolded the way it did. We certainly didn't do anything intentional--. I'm sure Tomy is aware of that."

"Regardless, we had a good car and managed to fight our way back to fourth. I don't know if we'd have had anything for Johnny [#64 Miller] anyway, so all-in-all, we're pretty pleased with our day."

Bobby Sak [#10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette] had an excellent car for the race and spent a good portion of the race running with the lead pack in 4th.

"My car was excellent," said Bobby. "We had a few shuffles here and there and could pretty much go where I needed to get around traffic. Late in the race I got on the outside of Stu and my brakes locked. We weren't racing each other or anything but I caught the outside wall. I was able to gather it back up and jump back in line. Actually, it made for some fun racing getting around Jorge Diaz and then Mike Lewis. As I was going around Lewis I saw Jorge come with me. That was a lot of fun."

Finishing the day in 6th, Sak set the second fastest lap [1:12.132] of the race with only two laps remaining.

Obviously a bit bored with driving 180mph Trans-Am cars, Sak decided to add a little more excitement to his life by proposing to Jenny Boyd, his girlfriend for this past year. In a taped interview for SPEED, Sak dropped to one knee and popped the big question in front of friends and family and a national television audience. After gathering her composure, the surprised Ms. Boyd said yes. A date is to-be-announced.
