New partner announcement for series uniforms

Design 500 Racewear Partners with the Trans-Am Series. LANSING, Mich. -- Noted driving suit and safety equipment manufacturer Design 500 Racewear has signed on as the "Official Uniform Supplier" of the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup.

LANSING, Mich. -- Noted driving suit and safety equipment manufacturer Design 500 Racewear has signed on as the "Official Uniform Supplier" of the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup. Series officials unveiled the new sponsorship during the Feb. 23 Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in Florida, by wearing new blue and white uniforms supplied by the Seattle-based company.

With a motto of "Safety With Style," Design 500 Racewear driving suits feature the latest innovations in safety materials coupled with custom styling and fit that protects the driver and makes a bold visual statement for both sponsor and competitor.

In addition to using Nomex® fire-retardant fabrics, Design 500 Racewear was chosen to help develop the latest innovation in fire protection^ËCarbonX®. A carbon fiber derivative, CarbonX® gives superior protection from fire and heat, while offering unique wicking properties that keep the driver comfortable regardless of the length of the race or atmospheric conditions.

Design 500 driving suits and crew apparel are worn by Trans-Am Series champions Paul Gentilozzi and Scott Pruett, "King" of the World of Outlaws Steve Kinser, dirt late model legend Scott Bloomquist and many others.
