Revolution Motorsports "Say YES! To Michigan"
Team pays tribute to home state for the Capital Trans-Am 100

Washington DC - July 18, 2002 - Revolution Motorsports and the Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup, are in Washington DC this week for the Cadillac Grand Prix, July 19 -20. The race, held at RFK Stadium, will air live, Saturday at 2:30pm EST on CBS.

As a gesture to honor the team's home state, Michigan, the #02 and #10 Revolution Motorsports / Trenton Forging Trans-Am Corvettes will carry the slogan "Say YES! To Michigan" on each door panel.

"We've been excited about coming to the Cadillac Grand Prix ever since the race was announced," said team owner, Don Sak. "To have a Trans-Am race in the Capital almost seems surreal."

"When David Moxlow [Trenton Forging] came to me with the idea of promoting Michigan for this event," added Don, "I thought it was terrific. David and I are both very pro Michigan. We've built our companies and raised our families there. It's a great state for doing business and it's a great place to live."

"Once the seed was planted," Don continued, "the idea made more and more sense. The thought of coming to our Nation's Capital and showing our local pride just felt right. We saw an opportunity to showcase our state and promote the idea of marketing through motorsports to other Michigan companies. We think there are a lot of Michigan businesses that could directly benefit from participation in a racing series like Trans-Am."

"I know the idea of promoting Michigan has struck a chord with all the members of the team," said Don. "We have a great group of people involved with Revolution Motorsports and in the folks at Trenton Forging. They all bring a strong sense of family to our program. This idea seems to have elevated their pride and commitment to those values. It's great."

In association with Trenton Forging, Revolution Motorsports competes as part of the Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup. All events are nationally televised on CBS and SPEED channel (formerly Speedvision). The Trans-Am Series is the oldest form of American sports car racing.
