SONOMA, Calif. (June 23, 2004) -- After achieving a Trans-Am Series career-best fourth-place finish at Portland, Joey Scarallo, driver of the No. 06 ROH Wheels / Group A Autotrend / Toyo Tires Chevrolet Corvette, is ready to burn rubber in the Trans-Am 100 at Infineon Raceway. The third round of the Motorock Trans-Am Series Championship takes place on June 27 at 4:15 PDT, immediately following the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race.
"The car ran really well at Sonoma last year, and I have been looking forward to going to Infineon again this year," said Scarallo. "The car is even more reliable this year thanks to the work of my new team, Baucom Motorsports."
Scarallo teamed with Baucom Motorsports, which is performing pre- and post-race maintenance on the No. 06 Chevrolet Corvette. Baucom Motorsports also fields the No. 86 Ford Mustang driven by owner/driver John Baucom.
"Based on my recent performance at Portland, I hope to finish second or third at Infineon," said Scarallo. "I think that goal is reasonable."
