1998 NTB TRANS-AM TV SCHEDULE FEATURES TNN, SPEEDVISION AND THE FOX SPORTS NETWORK COVERAGE; SEVEN RACES TO BE BROADCAST LIVE ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (March 2, 1998)—The NTB Trans-Am Series, America's premier muscle car road racing series, will roar to your television with more than 36 hours of flag-to-flag race coverage in 1998.

The Nashville Network, Speedvision and The Fox Sports Net will provide originating and rebroadcast coverage of the entire 1998 NTB Trans-Am Series, including seven live broadcasts with the remaining six races televised on a same or next-day tape delay.

TNN will originate seven NTB Trans-Am Series broadcasts with five races televised live, and will rebroadcast one race. Speedvision will originate the remaining six races on the 1998 calendar, including two live telecasts, with rebroadcasts of all TNN originating races. The Fox Sports Net will rebroadcast every race originally televised on Speedvision.

Throughout the 1998 NTB Trans-Am Series season, TNN will broadcast live at Homestead (May 17), Lime Rock Park (May 25), Mid-Ohio (June 14), Minneapolis (June 28) and Trois-Rivieres (August 2), and will broadcast Detroit (June 6) and Road America (August 15) on a next-day tape-delay. TNN will also rebroadcast the Long Beach race April 12.

Speedvision will televise the Grand Rapids (July 26) and Pikes Peak (September 27) races live, with tape-delay broadcasts of the Long Beach (April 5, next-day delay), Cleveland (July 11, same-day delay), Watkins Glen (August 8, same-day delay) and Houston (October 3, same-day delay) races.

All of the races rebroadcast on The Fox Sports Net will be televised at the same starting hour in each time zone.

TNN, with a cable universe of over 65 million households, is America's television source for country music and entertainment and is a leader in motorsports programming, covering the NTB Trans-Am Series, NASCAR's Winston Cup, Craftsman Supertruck and Busch Grand National series and the NHRA's Winston Drag Racing.

The Stamford, Conn.-based Speedvision is America's first and only cable network dedicated to automobile, aviation, and marine information and entertainment. The 24-hour channel offers a wide range of programming—from news and lifestyle products to historical documentaries, racing events and instructional shows—and has grown to a reach of 13 million households.

The Fox Sports Net represents 22 regional sports channels linked together to deliver a national network with over 55 million households, offering NTB Trans-Am Series racing as well as Major League Baseball, NFL Football, NBA Basketball, PGA Golf and other professional and amateur sports.
