USAC ALL-TIME RECORD UP FOR GRABS AT THE PAS APRIL 28; SHERIDAN 11TH DIFFERENT CRA WINNER THIS YEAR!

No USAC racing series in 52 years has opened with a dozen different feature winners. That possibility exists April 28 when the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series continues at the Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Danny Sheridan of Santa Maria, Calif. became the 11th different USAC/CRA winner this year by winning Saturday's 30-lap race at The PAS. He joins Darren Hagen, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Garrett Hansen, Mike Spencer, Tony Jones, Josh Wise, Charles Davis Jr., R.J. Johnson, Cory Kruseman and Scotty Weir in tying the 1994 record established in the USAC Modified Series. They surpassed the 10 different winners at the start of the 1956, 1960 and 1977 National Midget Series.

Sheridan ranks third in the new series points after passing defending series champion Cory Kruseman on lap 28 and leading the last three laps in his Kittle Plumbing/Aero Camino Pipe & Supply Stinger. David Cardey, who could be the 12th different winner April 28, finished second ahead of series point leader Tony Jones, R.J. Johnson and Dave Darland.

Jones' lead over Mike Spencer stands at 94 points going into the April 28 race.
