KRUSEMAN WINS AT THE PAS; SERIES RETURNS THERE AUGUST 1

Blake Miller of Yorba Linda, Calif. is the new leader in the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car series after finishing second in Saturday night's "Firecracker 30" at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway. He holds a four-point lead over defending series champ Mike Spencer going into an August 1 race at the Perris oval.

Cory Kruseman of Ventura, Calif. emerged the winner of Saturday night's 30-lapper, beating Miller, Spencer, Garrett Hansen and Greg Bragg to the checkered flag. Five lead changes sparked the feature event, Kruseman leading twice for eight laps. His last lead came on lap 28 after he passed Miller in his Lucas Oil/Agromin Viper/Mopar.

The win was Kruseman's first this season and boosted him to seventh in the new standings. He became the ninth winner in 10 series races this year. It was also Kruseman's 28th career win in the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprints, six shy of all-time leader Damion Gardner.
